Sebastian Klarhoefer & Peter Hertel
Peter Christian Hertel, born in 1968, and Sebastian Klarhoefer, born in 1966, know each other since school days.
They studied Architecture in Berlin and Venice and degreed in 1996 and 1994 at the Berlin Institute of Technology.
They created their first furniture designs during the studies at the Instituto Universitario di Architettura in Venice with Aldo Rossi. In 1999 they founded their design agency hertel & klarhoefer.

Valérie Hebel
Designer
As a freelance designer, based in Berlin, Valérie is working in the fields of product and furniture design.
In close cooperation with Hertel&Klarhoefer design agency she realizes several products and ideas for companies such as Bolia, Ligne Roset, Universo Positivo and Regalraum. Valérie focuses on the essential. Her love for simplicity, minimalism and functionality characterizes her furniture pieces. Her vision is to create timeless quality pieces with a passion for details. Beside her freelance projects she created the label Marin et Marine with her twin sister Caroline Marine.
Julian Berg
Designer
As a product designer, based in Berlin, Julian is working in the fields of consumer electronics, lifestyle accessories and furniture design. In close cooperation with Hertel & Klarhoefer design agency, he realised several products for companies such as Bolia, L&C Stendal, Fischer Möbel and Kenneth Cobonpue.
His main focus always lies on the vision of creating convincing products, that keep their timeless design quality down to the very last detail by combining practical benefits with emotive aspects.
Lavinia Klarhoefer
Content Creator
Lavinia is responsible for Social Media Content creation and takes care of the @hertel_klarhoefer Instagram profile. She is currently studying Business Psychology in Berlin and has a passion for Scandinavian Design, architecture and travel.
Caroline Hebel
Web Designer & Illustrator
Caroline-Marine is working in the fields of Web, Graphic design and Illustration for Studio Marin. She designed the website of Hertel&Klarhoefer and illustrated the portraits.
Beside her freelance projects she created the label Marin et Marine with her twin sister Valérie.
Christoph Hübner
Designer
Christoph creates furniture with his craft oriented mind and his sense for scultural forming.
Since 2010 he lives his special passion for furniture design in cooporation with Hertel&Klarhoefer. With his Studio he is based in South Germany.
Jakob Sasse
Designer
Passionate about the essence of peoples’ lives and the way they feel and interact with products and their surroundings, Jacob combines multiple backgrounds, studying design in Berlin and Tel Aviv. As a product designer he is working in the fields of consumer electronics, lifestyle accessories and furniture design in close cooperation with Hertel&Klarhoefer design agency for companies such as Bolia, Regalraum and Ligne Roset.
His main focus lies in the creation of sustainable quality of life through design, inspired by nature, materials and the appreciation of detail. Its nature should be honest and understandable - made for people.
